2005 - The action consists of re-establishing the edaphic substrate in the arrival area located between the shore of the lake and the ring road. In these spaces, during the World Rowing Championship of 2004, provisional grandstands were installed and temporary accesses needed for the event were set up. In order to restore the area to its initial situation the volumes of dry materials will be removed and will be replaced by vegetal soil until a smooth morphology is obtained, where a mosaic of shoreline meadows and forests will be implemented, as both of these habitats are of great ecological and landscape value. At the same time, access to the sector will be regulated, unwanted accesses will be eliminated and a clear distinction will be made between spaces that may be visited and those reserved for the recovery of vegetal communities.
The cost of this work amounts to some 18,130.00 € (subsidised by the County Council of Girona).
